Club and Association Dances

Club hoedowns / special dances take place on first thru fourth Saturdays. See the pages of individual clubs for more information.

Any fifth Saturday is reserved for a SCVSDA/SCVCA Whing Ding, staffed by SCVCA member callers. Upcoming Whing Dings:

Some clubs which normally meet on Wednesdays dance together on fifth Wednesdays. Some clubs which normally meet on Thursdays dance together on fifth Thursdays. Some clubs which normally meet on Fridays dance together on fifth Fridays.

Annual Festival

Our Jubilee is held the second full weekend of October each year. (52nd Jubilee: 10-12 October 2008.)

Public Events

The SCVSDA sponsors dancing at the Santa Clara County Fair in years when that fair is held.

In addition, in recent years SCVSDA members have demonstrated square dancing at many other public events: San Jose holiday parade, Mountain View spring parade, San Jose arts festival, Stanford spring street fair, and more!

Non-Dance Events

The SCVSDA holds periodic meetings of its Board of Directors and of Delegates from member clubs to conduct organization business. For information on these and other meetings, refer to the meeting calendar pages.
